Kamikaze Zombie is a death metal and thrashcore band born in Birmingham, Alabama. They’re now based in the New Orleans and have been raging together since 2014. They have a powerful, aggressive sound and are routinely tapped to support huge bands like Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Goatwhore.
I mentioned before that I’m a huge fan of horror metal acts like the Misfits and Rob Zombie as well as the work of horrorcore mavens like Skynd and Bruses. I think it’s the dark themes and violent imagery in their lyrics that give me the courage to stand up to the things that keep me up at night. The music is aggressive, unforgiving, and just straight up brutal at times.
They are hard at work recording new songs and re-recording old tracks that will be released later this year. Also, they are gearing up for a kick-ass tour with an unannounced huge band! Give them a follow and stay tuned for that announcement to get a chance to watch Kamikaze Zombie live!
